Call for Proposals “Judiciary under spotlight”

The Institute for Policy & Legal Studies (IPLS) in partnership with the Open Society Foundation for Albania (OSFA), and the Centre for Legal Empowerment (CLE) are jointly implementing the project: “Judiciary under spotlight”, financed by the European Union.

The overall objective of this project funded under the EuropeAid/174080/DD/ACT/ “Support to CSOs in the fields of Good Governance, Rule of Law and Environment” is to “Empower Albanian CSOs and other key stakeholders to conduct monitoring and evaluation of the functioning of the Albanian judiciary in compliance with applicable legal, procedural and best practice standards”.

In this framework a Call for Proposals under the Sub-Granting Scheme of the “Judiciary under spotlight” project is open for application to all Albanian civil society organisations (CSOs) as of October 11, 2024.

The purpose of the Sub-Granting Scheme is to support Albanian CSO projects on monitoring judicial performance in the areas of access to justice and fair trial, judicial integrity, meritocracy in judicial careers, and court transparency.

The deadline for the submission of applications is November 12, 2024, at 17:00 hrs.

The overall amount made available under this Call for Proposals is 32,000 EUR.
Under the Call, there will be awarded 4 (four) projects, which must fall between the following minimum and maximum amounts:
Minimum amount: EUR 8,000
Maximum amount: EUR 8,000
